“Law on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of terrorism and to restrict the use of cash” provides that obliged entities shall develop and implement effective policies, procedures and internal controls to comply with the binding provisions relating to financial embargoes.
What is a possible UBO?
The UBO register (Ultimate Beneficial Owners) is not publicly accessible by law and cannot be used to evaluate a business relationship. By processing publicly available information about participations and mandates, we identify which people can be linked to a company, in this case we speak of possible UBOs.
What are dormant or ghost companies?
Dormant companies (also known as inactive or ghost companies) do not engage in economic activity and cease their business activities. They only exist on paper. They can be used in schemes for money laundering or fraud. However, with insight into the financial figures in combination with other negative signals, you can often identify them in time.
